SNP MP Stephen Gethins has held onto his seat of North East Fife by just two votes.

Gethins gained 13,743 votes while second placed Janet Riches of the Liberal Democrats had 13,741.

The seat was the last in Scotland to be declared and the result followed two recounts.

At one point it was speculated that the winner could be decided by a coin toss if the third recount did not result in a clear winner.

Gethins previously had a majority of 4,344.
