Politicians and their pets - Kevin Montgomery and Rohan

Kevin Montgomery, a Labour councillor for Paisley Southwest, introduces us to his dog Rohan.

Breed? Belgian Shepherd cross

Age? Two years old

How long have you had him? Three months

Where did you get him? From a rescue in Cyprus that was recommended to me by someone who does conservation work in the country

What do you love about him? He has a lovely nature and friendly personality

What special talents does he have? He was previously taught to stand on two legs for treating an eye injury and he continues to want to do this

What are his most annoying habits? He steals shoes and then just leaves them in random places

What’s the worst thing he has done? Removed both ear cushions from a pair of bluetooth headphones

Do you think of yourself as a pet parent or pet owner? More owned by a pet!

What’s the most ridiculous thing you have bought or done for your pet? Photoshopped his head into a Disney Plus email advertising "Loki - God of Mischief"

What’s your first pet or animal-related memory? I had an uncle who had two dogs, a cross breed and a black German Shepherd. This led to us getting a dog.

What was the first pet you ever had? Sam, a Labrador, I had from a pup

What would be your dream pet? I'd need a bigger house but probably a Bernese Mountain Dog or Newfoundland

If you could be any animal what would you be? A dog seems a pretty good life
