Jude McCorry to stand down as chief executive of Cyberfraud Centre
Jude McCorry has announced her decision to stand down as chief executive of the Cyberfraud Centre.
A social enterprise, the organisation helps public bodies and private companies respond to cyber attacks as well as helping them boost their defences.
McCorry, who has led the organisation since 2020, will remain in post until February.
The search to find her successor is now underway.
She said: “I started in this role, my first-ever as a CEO, the very week the country went into lockdown.
“It was an uncertain start, to say the least, but from that moment on it has been the privilege of my career.”
In recent years, the Cyberfraud Centre has advised organisations such as Arnold Clark, Western Isles Council and Sepa following significant cyber attacks.
It became a social enterprise last year, having previously been a not-for-profit organisation.
McCorry added: “I believe leaders should be defined not only by what they build, but by knowing when to hand the baton on. And what a baton it is for the next person to pick up.
“I will remain in post until February 2027 and will be fully focused on a smooth handover.”
