Former council leader found guilty of sexually assaulting three men
A former SNP council leader has been found guilty of sexually assaulting three men.
Jordan Linden stood down as leader of North Lanarkshire Council in 2022 after the allegations were made public.
He was convicted of 10 charges, including sexual assault, at Falkirk Sheriff Court.
Linden had faced 15 charges, including sexual assault, sexual communication and stalking.
The 30-year-old, who previously chaired the Scottish Youth Parliament, had denied all the charges against him.
Sentencing has been deferred, and he has been released on bail.
The offences took place between 2011 and 2021.
Linden was an elected member of the Scottish Youth Parliament between 2011 and 2016. He became an SNP councillor for the Bellshill ward during the 2017 local elections.
