Scottish Council of Independent Schools (SCIS)

Scottish Council of Independent Schools (SCIS)

The Scottish Council of Independent Schools (SCIS) is an independent, non-political educational charity representing and promoting over 70 independent schools in Scotland. Our mainstream and complex additional support needs schools educate over 30,000 children and young people of mixed abilities and from diverse backgrounds and contribute £445million (GVA) to the Scottish economy.

Through its engagement with The Scottish Government, the Scottish Parliament and other key regulatory bodies and by collaboration with others in education, SCIS has become a widely recognised and respected partner in the development and advancement of education in Scotland.

SCIS promotes choice, diversity and excellence in Scottish Education.
