Scottish Health Innovations Ltd
Scottish Health Innovations Ltd (SHIL) works in partnership with NHS Scotland to identify, protect, develop and commercialise healthcare innovations to improve patient care and to generate financial return for the NHS. Formed in 2002, SHIL is the only organisation set up to work alongside NHS Scotland on commercialisation activity. Innovation support services include: market research, evaluation of ideas, intellectual property protection, regulatory advice, project management, product and prototype development, funding advice, commercialisation, sales and marketing, and post-commercialisation monitoring.
SHIL is a private company registered in Scotland (SC236303) and limited by guarantee with three shareholders – Scottish Minister’s through the Chief Scientist Office, NHS Tayside and the Golden Jubilee National Hospital.
