Scotland: The Recovery - Reimagining Scotland's Cities

This event took place on 2 - 3 Feb 2021 & was chaired by Mark Boyle, University of Liverpool & Richard Bellingham, Director Sustainable Cities & Energy Policy, University of Strathclyde

There are many challenges ahead as Scotland looks to recover from the economic disruption of COVID-19, including the threat of further pandemics, the climate crisis, technological upheaval and demographic change. Radical action is needed to jumpstart the Scottish economy and help us “build back better” as a more resilient society.

Key stakeholders from across the public, private and third sectors, including First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, Fiona Hislop MSP,  Benny Higgins and Nadhim Zahawi MP,  got together to explore how Scotland can move forward to build an inclusive post-pandemic society and well-being economy capable of meeting future challenges.
