Preparing for a Circular Economy

Building on the 2016 Circular Economy strategy, this event will examine Scotland’s commitment to move towards a society that has a less heavy consumption of valuable resources.

Making things Last, Making things Work

At this event, we will revisit the strategy and look to the latest initiatives which fall under it, namely the deposit return scheme. We will scrutinise the priorities for creating a successful circular economy through education, opportunity and innovation to affect real and lasting change.

With the Scottish Government currently considering how to proceed on the deposit return scheme bill, what are the key steps needed to develop a system that addresses concerns whilst protecting environmental benefits?

Join Holyrood on 17th March 2020 as we examine the key perspectives and discuss the way forward on this vital issue.
