Connect 2020

COVID-19 and the resulting lockdown changed the way many organisations use technology.

Holyrood’s virtual Connect 2020 conference, which took place on 13 & 14 October, brought together experts from the Scottish Government, Socitm and other industry-leading organisations to explore the latest issues in public sector technology, with a focus on the following themes:

  • Collaboration: The public sector works more efficiently through collaboration and sharing best practice - gain valuable insight from organisations that have tackled and overcome issues and challenges similar to those you're experiencing.
  • People First: Digital transformation is nothing without people - learn how to involve staff and users in service design to ensure they buy into your new technologies and have the skills necessary to use them
  • Sparking the Next Wave of Innovation: Risk taking and learning from failure is the most effective way to innovate but is difficult with the scrutiny faced by the public sector -  learn how to create an environment where risks can be taken in a measured way.
