Scottish Public Service Awards

Building on the enormous growing success of the previous three years, we are delighted to announce details of this year’s Awards for 2017. The Scottish Public Service Awards will once again recognise the wider contribution made to Scotland's civic society from within the civil service, Scottish Government, Scottish Parliament, the Third Sector and the wide-ranging and diverse responsibilities of public agencies.

The awards, once again supported by the Scottish Government and Scottish Parliament, will recognise the rich and unique diversity of public life in Scotland and the vital relationships that cut across departmental, geographic and institutional boundaries. As media partners and event organiser, Holyrood magazine is delighted to play a part in showcasing some of the innovative and thought-provoking work being done the length and breadth of Scotland.

The Scottish Public Service Awards offer the opportunity to celebrate outstanding achievements within Scotland's civic landscape and give welcome recognition to the work that goes on - sometimes very much behind the scenes and often in difficult circumstances - to support the governance of Scotland.

There are 13 categories in total this year, including the Lifetime Achievement Award will be chosen by our judging panel so will not be open for nominations.

Nominations are open until the 13th October. For more information, including a full list of categories, our judging panel, FAQ's and the nomination form please visit
