Napier research supports cross-Forth hovercraft trial Print E-mail
Tuesday, 17 July 2007

Napier University’s Transport Research Institute (TRi) is to conduct an online survey in the ForthFast hovercraft trial, which completed its first day of 22 crossings between Kirkcaldy and Portobello yesterday.

TRi’s Maritime Research Group will be offering an online survey to allow prospective users to state their preferences and comments on this service, with the aim to improve the development and implementation of the service, which will run until Saturday 28 July.

In cooperation with the ForthFast Hovercraft stakeholders, Stagecoach and SEStran, and as part of the EU project DIFFERENT, the website is to investigate user perceptions and reactions to this new service. The link also contains photographs and other information on the ForthFast Hovercraft trial, and there will also be a blog for comments and discussion.
