Scottish Labour announces Glenrothes shortlist Print E-mail
Monday, 01 September 2008

The head teacher of Gordon Brown’s former high school is among the candidates shortlisted by Labour to contest the Glenrothes by-election.

Lindsay Roy, rector of Kirkcaldy High School, joins local Labour activist and unionist Colin Davidson and George Foulkes’ parliamentary researcher Kezia Dugdale on the list.

Local Labour party members will meet tonight in Auchmuty High School to select their candidate.

A spokesperson for Scottish Labour said:

“There are three outstanding candidates on the shortlist, one of whom local members will choose tonight. Unlike other political parties, our choice will be made by members of the local party who actually live in the Glenrothes constituency.”
