The deadline for nominations for the Scottish Liberal Democrat leadership competition has closed, with three contenders throwing their hats into the ring.
Mike Rumbles MSP, who also contested the leadership in 2005, former Transport Minister Tavish Scott and former Environment Minister Ross Finnie will compete to succeed former leader Nicol Stephen, who resigned as leader earlier this month citing family reasons.
The poll will take place on August 26 so that a new leader is in place before Parliament returns in early September.
