2012 Paralympic Training Camp Guide published |

Eleven Scottish venues are to feature in the London 2012 Pre-Games Paralympic Training Camp Guide, it has been announced.
The guide, which is similar to a handbook of facilities for Olympic sports that was published in March, lists high quality sports facilities which are capable of hosting visiting teams or individual athletes wishing to prepare to take part in the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
The 11 Scottish venues that will feature are: Denwood Target Shooting Centre, Aberdeen; Grangemouth Stadium and National Indoor Athletics Academy; sportscotland National Centre, Cumbrae; sportscotland National Centre, Inverclyde; The Scottish National Equestrian Centre, Oatridge, West Lothian; the Royal Commonwealth Pool, Edinburgh; Scotstoun Leisure Centre, Glasgow; Scottish Sailing Institute, Largs; University of Stirling; Wishaw Sports Centre; and the JudoScotland's National Judo Academy, Ratho.
Sports Minister Stewart Maxwell said:
"I am pleased that a large number of the Scottish facilities which applied have made it into the Paralympic Guide.
"Paralympic athletes from all over the world will receive a warm welcome when they vist Scotland - we have great facilities, friendly people and world class scenery."
