Scottish police have detained almost 1000 children under eight over the past five years for offences including careless driving, housebreaking, and indecent assault.

A secret meeting was held by SNP and Liberal Democrat leaders last week to thrash out a deal on scrapping Council Tax and replacing it with a local income tax. 

Scotland needs to promote a culture of “whistleblowing” within the medical community to boost the trust between elderly patients and medical professionals, a leading charity has claimed.
