Holyrood magazine has again beaten the competition to be the most read magazine by MSPs in 2007.
The annual IPSOS MORI poll of MSPs’ reading habits show that 77 per cent of MSPs read Holyrood, more than double the amount that reported reading other weekly or fortnightly publications like Private Eye (29 per cent), The Economist (22 per cent) and the New Statesman (18 per cent).
Holyrood’s market share is the highest recorded by a weekly or fortnightly publication, eclipsing the previous best of 76 per cent penetration recorded in 2005.
Holyrood is also the third most widely read of any publication. The Herald remains the most widely read publication with 88 per cent of MSPs reporting reading it, with the Sunday Herald garnering 83 per cent and Scotland on Sunday equal with Holyrood on 77 per cent.
The biggest fall came for The Sun, which went from having a readership of 24 per cent of MSPs last year, to just 13 per cent this year.
