Scots don’t support prosecuting parents for giving under-15s alcohol
A majority of Scots don’t think that parents should be prosecuted for
giving alcohol to their children if the children are under the age of
15. In a poll following a call for the change from Alcohol Concern, who
say it will offer greater protection to children from alcohol, 87 per
cent of respondents to the question “Should parents who give alcohol to
their children under the age of 15 be prosecuted?” replied no, with
only 13 per cent responding yes.
