Home : Welcome
The Wise Group is a leading social enterprise that works with others to make a positive difference to the lives of individuals, the communities in which they live and the society to which they belong.  We assist unemployed people into sustainable employment through our innovative support, training and work experience programmes.  We also contribute to the sustainable development of communities through programmes that regenerate local environments.

We believe that work has the power to change peoples’ lives and in early 2008 had helped 25,000 people into work.  Employment can be used to tackle inequality, poverty and disadvantage when provided in a supportive, caring and person-centred environment.

We are a people-focused organisation, motivated by the needs of our clients and communities, not profit.  Our success is seen in the result of our ability to deliver results with added value benefits where they matter most.  In 2007 we helped 3,653 people into work, our highest ever figure in a single year.

Since our beginnings as a small home insulation and training project in Glasgow in 1983, the Wise Group has developed into a leading social enterprise that works with others to make a difference to the lives of individuals, the communities in which they live and the society to which they belong.  Our 420 staff support unemployed people from locations across Scotland and the North East of England find and keep a job and to provide regeneration and sustainability services for communities.

We work in partnership with other organisations to deliver our range of support, training and work experience programmes.
