FMQs live – 1 March 2012

Good afternoon, and welcome to today's FMQs live blog. Today session at the Scottish Parliament will see questions on childrens’ hearings and childcare, as well as on the controversy over new revelations around the Lockerbie bombing. In addition, Labour leader Johann Lamont has previously called for an inquiry into child protection following the Declan Hainey case; yesterday's tragic events in Edinburgh could provoke a repeat of her call. LIVE – First Minister’s Questions (9 February 2012)

Welcome to this week's live blog of First Minister's Questions. Yesterday saw the passage of the SNP administration's budget with opposition support coming from the Liberal Democrats alone; cuts to college teaching budgets have been the most keenly fought-over battleground. However,  today Alex Salmond will meet the chairman of the BBC Trust, after last weekend's dispute over his appearance as part of the channel's Six Nations rugby coverage. With the BBC offering its own version of events, the party leaders are unlikely to let the opportunity to question Salmond's judgement pass them by. [liveblog]
