After weeks of speculation and political wrangling, the Scottish Government will today launch its consultation on holding a referendum on Scotland’s constitutional future. The UK Government has already published its own consultation – today Alex Salmond will lay out the SNP’s vision of how the poll should be governed before the Scottish Parliament. Holyrood will be following the debate live, as it happens.
